Sagrantino is an ancient Italian variety said to have been introduced from Greece by Byzantine monks in the middle ages.
At Angullong, we have been growing it a number of years, and we’re excited by the wine it is producing. Bold and full flavoured, it is a fragrant wine of dark fruits, violets and herbs with an authoritative, chewy tannin structure.
